This book speaks to me. I love the conversational and insightful style of this book. M. Christine Wildman draws us into the story by putting flesh on the characters, grit in their shoes, and ache in their hearts. We are right there struggling with them and learning to cope as they do. "The famine in her heart was far greater than the famine that was in the land when they left." Naomi was wounded and blind to the blessings and goodness around her. The love and faithfulness of Ruth and God's provision opens her and our eyes to love and hope again.
"God loves us.
God has a plan for our lives.
God loves you!
God’s plan for you was set in motion before you were even born.
Every human being has worth because God says so.
Every human being has a purpose because God says so."
This message needs to penetrate past flesh and bone into the core of our being, our spirit and soul. Too often we are beat up by the cares and lies of this world and eke out our existence in darkness and despair. This book reawakens our inner child of God, our hope, our wonder. We can thrive again!
I am so thankful that M. Christine Wildman has listened to God's call to share His message and her story with us. I am very much looking forward to the next leg of this journey!

This study showed me more of Ruth's life than just staying with Naomi to take care of her. It showed me that God had Ruth's future completely in his hands all planned out. I now see how God has been with me my entire life and has lead me to where I am today!! Thank you for this Bible Study!

Great companion for your personal study in the book of Ruth. Brings the story alive. You realize these are actually real people who went through what happened. Filled with facts regarding the time of these events bringing a new understanding to the depth of the importance of the historical facts. Thought provoking, giving you enough meat to chew on and see the events of Ruth with more clarity.
