🌿 Ruth: From Outcast to Redeemed

A 5-Week Itty Bitty Bible Study by M. Christine Wildman

A Love Story of Loyalty, Redemption, and the God Who Sees Us

Why Ruth’s Story Matters

Ruth wasn’t the “ideal” woman of her day. She was widowed, poor, and an outsider in a culture that did not easily accept her. She had every reason to feel abandoned and overlooked.

But God never forgot Ruth. Through His providence, she was grafted into the family of God—becoming part of the lineage of Jesus Himself.

Her story is one of loss, loyalty, love, and redemption. And it’s for anyone who has ever felt like they don’t belong.

Why I Wrote This Study

My name is M. Christine Wildman, and I know what it feels like to be on the outside looking in.

I’ve faced seasons of deep grief, abuse, mental health struggles, and feeling like I could never “measure up” in the church. For years, I battled with the thought that my brokenness disqualified me.

But like Ruth, I discovered that God sees us, God loves us, and He is writing a story of redemption in every life—including yours.

That’s why I created the Itty Bitty Bible Studies series. They’re short, simple, and approachable. Even if the Bible has felt intimidating before, these studies will give you the tools to understand and apply God’s Word without overwhelm.

What You’ll Find Inside

  • A 4-week journey through the Book of Ruth
  • Simple, step-by-step reflections (perfect if you feel nervous about “not knowing enough”)
  • Questions that connect Ruth’s story to your own struggles and hopes
  • Space for prayer, journaling, and healing
  • Encouragement that God sees you, God loves you, and you belong

A Note from The WildBerry Patch 🌸

This study is also part of The WildBerry Patch—a safe, welcoming place for oddball Christians, outcasts, and the wounded to find healing and hope. It’s like sitting on a porch with a cup of tea, sharing stories, and discovering God’s love together.

If you’ve been hurt by life, by people, or even by the church…you’re welcome here.
