Wildman Family Statement of Faith

This is MY statement of Faith from MY study of the Bible.  This is the guideline for MY life. If you want a relationship with Jesus Christ like mine, these are the steps that have kept me at peace and with joy that no man can take.  If you don’t want a relationship with Jesus Christ – in any form – this is not for you.  I ask that you respect my right to have my faith and choices, as I will respect your right. And, yes, I will believe I am right, just as those that disagree with me will believe they are right. I believe there will come a day that will show who is right and wrong, and maybe we are all right, but I will not risk my eternal presence on that!

We believe that there is only one God, eternally manifest as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  That these three manifestations are coeternal and coequal from all eternity, with distinct personalities but of one essence.
We believe that the Father is the creative force of the Godhead, being the One behind the voice that said “Let there be Light” in Genesis 1.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God Who entered into the world through the virgin birth, living among us without sin as perfect Man and perfect God.
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts sinners of their sin; regenerates, sanctifies and indwells those who believe and fills and empowers the believer for effective service.

We believe that the whole Bible is verbally inspired by God in its original writings, that it is truth without any mixture of error, and is the sole rule of faith and practice. It was given to us for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God could be equipped by every good work.

We believe Adam was directly created in innocence and the image of God and did not evolve from preexisting forms of life.  By voluntary transgression, he fell; and thus the whole race is now sinful by nature and practice, unable to please God, and therefore justly condemned to eternal separation from God.

We believe that God created humans as male and female, to be an example of the Father and the Comforter, and that they were told to go forth and multiply to create the triune nature of the Holy Godhead – Father, Comforter, and Son (Jesus). Therefore, we believe that God’s ideal family is a marriage of a man and a woman, and we are to reproduce to continue the human line.

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood on Calvary as a perfect, unblemished, vicarious sacrifice for our sins, thereby fulfilling the type of the sacrificial lamb for our sins.  He died, was buried and rose again bodily as He had promised, thus securing for believers the blessing of salvation and that He is now ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father until the day that He will personally, bodily return to reign and rule on the earth.

We believe that men are justified by grace through faith in the perfected work and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ without any mixture of works.  However, faith that saves always produces works of Godliness. Saving faith results in growth within the spirit of the believer which causes him to change his outward actions.  This process is to continue throughout a Christian’s life.

We believe in the priesthood of the believer and that God has made provision for each believer to be victorious by being led of the Spirit and crucifying the desires of the flesh.

We believe Christians are commanded by Scripture to abstain from all forms of compromise with unbelief.

We believe that the Bible sets forth principles of Godly living and that we must learn and follow these principles to avoid and refute false teachings and concepts.

We believe Christians are commanded to follow Scriptural methods of discerning, exhorting, warning and reproving those who violate or reject the principles of Scripture.

Separation from Unbelief

We believe Christians are called to abstain from compromise with unbelief, walking in truth and holiness according to the Word of God.

 📖 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Romans 12:2; Jude 3

Discipleship and Discipline

We believe God commands believers to discern, exhort, warn, and reprove in love those who stray from His Word.

 📖 Matthew 18:15-17; Galatians 6:1; 2 Timothy 4:2

We believe that the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, as detailed in the book of Acts and the various epistles, continue to this day.  This includes the offices and ministries, and the gifts and manifestations.  The various workings of the Holy Spirit were given to enable the believers to be effective witnesses.  We still need His enabling power today.

We believe that Satan and demons are fallen angelic beings who have great power to influence and afflict humans, and that they can manifest their presence in ways detectable by human senses.  However, they are totally subject to God’s will and their power extends no further than God allows it.

We believe that Hell is a real place, created by God for the eternal, conscious punishment of all beings who reject His Lordship.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – the just unto the resurrection of life eternal and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.

We believe that worship in the forms of singing, praying, giving thanks, and expressing our love for God is to be a participatory part of our service to God.  Worship should draw us and those who observe us towards God and away from the world through honest expression of the thoughts of our hearts, the presentation of Biblical truth, and the active sharing of God’s faithfulness in our lives.

The world has fallen and broken in many ways since the Garden and Creation.  There are many faiths, and even none-faiths.  We believe that we can respect those that choose differently than we do, and what we consider sin in the eyes of Yahweh God may not be something that others believe.  We believe that we can agree to disagree, and choose respect for one another, and learn from one another.
