Passage

Matthew Chapter 9

It doesn’t matter which version you choose. It can be digital or paper. You can use one of those fancy coloring bibles and do a page or coloring along with the passage.

I will mostly do Homan Christian Standard Bible because of their copyright freedoms.

• Matthew 9
  • Mt 9:1-8 healing and forgiving sins
    • ⁵ For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? ⁶ But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He told the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.” ⁷ And he got up and went home.
  • Mt 9:9-13 Matthew and Tax Collectors
    • ¹³ Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice.^[f] For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”^[g]

    • 28 When He entered the house, the blind men approached Him, and Jesus said to them, “D0 you believe that I can do this?” “yes, Lord” they answered Him
    • ²⁹ Then He touched their eyes, saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith!”
  • Mt 9:32-34 Mute delivered and speaks
  • Mt 9:35-37 The Lord of the Harvest
    • ³⁷ Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. ³⁸ Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

Mindful Meditating

1. choose a verse,
2.  set a timer for 5 minutes, or whatever works for you.
3.  example: Matt 9:22
4. repeat to yourself, and at each word, enunciate the next word in the sentence starting with the first word…

example:

• ²² But Jesus turned and saw her. “Have courage, daughter,” He said. “Your faith has made you well.”
• BUT Jesus turned and saw her.
• Have courage, daughter, He said.
• YOUR faith has made you well.
• Your FAITH has made you well.
• Your faith HAS made you well.

…and so on.  This will cause you to look at the verse more intently, and may have you memorize it before your five minutes are done.
